Then Austin, TX for a showing of the Iron Maiden movie Flight 666, then San Diego, CA for a Joe Bonamassa gig, then the Bahamas to record an album with a Rock Goddess, then England and Europe with Joe Bonamassa in the run-up to his Royal Albert Hall show on May 4. The Impact of YouTube

Two of those who made it big abroad through their videos on YouTube are 16-year-old Charice Pempengco, and 41-year-old Arnel Pineda. They were both struggling to be popular in the Philippines before somebody posted the videos of their performances on the Web site.

With their impressive vocal skills in full display in the videos, it did not take long for the rest of the YouTube community to pay attention. The videos of Ms. Pempengco and Mr. Pineda were viewed by millions of YouTube users worldwide, instantly launching their international careers.
