Steve Perry should sell Mopar parts and accessories.”Any way you want it, that’s the way we sell it, any way you want it.”I listened to a version of that song though I couldn’t tell if it was Perry or Arnel Pineda singing during my weeklong test of a Mopared-out 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T.Really, anything from the 1980s seemed appropriate behind the wheel of this particular car, complete with winged spoiler, T-grip shifter and Mopar door sill guards. This car was more of an exhibit — it could easily be parked inside the Cobo Center this weekend as part of Autorama.AdvertisementLoaded up with accessories, this car is two earrings and a nice leather black belt away from a fashion shoot in Cosmo, instead of a road test in Car and Driver. But man has been accessorizing vehicles ever since the first caveman rolled up on his wheel with an all-oak axle and spinners. Mopar just makes it easier.Had I been 17 or needed to outrun Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane in a snowstorm, this orange coupe shoed in Blizzak snow tires would have been up for the, er, challenge. So allow me to look beyond the giant hood scoop, which draws cooler air on the 5.7-liter V-8 Hemi for vanity’s sake, and provide a little scoop of my own: Choice is good.

  1. If you can’t tell the difference between Steve Perry vs Arnel, then you may be to young remember “The Voice.” Steve Perry is so above any of the “Steve Perry want to bees.” Trh closing your eyes when you listen, you will find major differences as I did with Steve Augeri. NO ONE HAS EVER TOPPED HIS BEAUTIFUL VOICE, LOVE AND TALENT!

  2. Too Funny! It wouldn’t be the frist time Steve has sang for an ad.
