Journey, the 1970s power ballad band, has had a longer shelf life than anyone expected — including former frontman Steve Perry, who since 1991 has seen himself replaced by a string of singers, the latest of whom, Arnel Pineda, was found singing Journey songs in a cover band.

But the band got a boost from its song ”Don’t Stop Believing” being used in the final scene of the last episode of the HBO series ‘ ‘The Sopranos” and in the hot new Fox-TV musical-comedy ”Glee.” The song’s now the most-downloaded ”catalog” track in iTunes history.

And last week, there the band was, playing CBS ”The Early Show.”

7:30 p.m. today, with Heart, Sovereign Center, 700 Penn St., Reading. Tickets $49.50-$79. With free pre-concert block party at 5:30 p.m. (band will not attend), 610-898-7469, http://www.sovereigncenter.com.
